LandKeepers is live!
October 07 2008 | Media Releases
LandKeepers.ca, an online community for First Nations in BC dealing with mining issues on their territories, is now live.
The site features a number of interactive elements to help people gain a better understanding of mining issues and share information about their experiences and challenges. These include a discussion forum, google map, news page, resource library, photo gallery and organization directory.
The site is a work in progress, and its creators welcome feedback on how they can make it a better tool. Visitors can offer their suggestions using the site’s feedback form.
LandKeepers is directed by an advisory committee made up of people who work on First Nations mining issues. It was created by the Center for Science in Public Participation and the Canadian Boreal Initiative.
